Στο πλευρό της Ουάσινγκτον και η Τουρκία Ο υπουργός Εξωτερικών της Γαλλίας Ζαν-Ζακ Ερό δήλωσε ότι το Παρίσι ενημερώθηκε από την Ουάσινγκτον πριν από την πυραυλική επίθεση κατά της αεροπορικής βάση στη Συρία. Τα αεροπορικά πλήγματα αυτά αποτελούν «προειδοποίηση προς ένα εγκληματικό καθεστώς», είπε.
Το μέλλον της Συρίας δεν είναι με τον Ασαντ και οι Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες αρχίζουν να αποσαφηνίζουν την θέση τους, σχολίασε ο γάλλος υπουργός Εξωτερικών.
Οι Ρώσοι και οι Ιρανοί πρέπει να καταλάβουν ότι η υποστήριξη προς τον Μπασάρ αλ Ασαντ δεν έχει νόημα. Δεν θέλουμε αντιπαράθεση μαζί τους, πρόσθεσε.
Και η Βρετανία εκφράζει την πλήρη υποστήριξή της προς τις ΗΠΑ για το στρατιωτικό πλήγμα κατά της συριακής αεροπορικής βάσης, δήλωσε βρετανός κυβερνητικός εκπρόσωπος.
«Η κυβέρνηση του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου υποστηρίζει πλήρως την ενέργεια των ΗΠΑ η οποία πιστεύουμε ότι αποτελεί την προσήκουσα απάντηση στην επίθεση με χημικά όπλα που εξαπέλυσε το συριακό καθεστώς και έχει ως στόχο την αποτροπή περαιτέρω τέτοιων επιθέσεων», δήλωσε ο εκπρόσωπος.
Ο αναπληρωτής πρωθυπουργός της Τουρκίας, Numan Kurtulmuş, υποστήριξε επίσης τις ενέργειες των ΗΠΑ. Μιλώντας στην τουρκική Βουλή είπε ότι ελπίζει αυτή η ενέργεια να είναι μια πράξη που συμβολίζει την ειρήνη στην περιοχή.
