Η πριγκίπισσα διάδοχος της Ολλανδίας Αμαλία εγκαταστάθηκε στην Ισπανία για να διαφύγει από απειλές για την ασφάλειά της, αναφέρουν ολλανδικά μέσα ενημέρωσης, την ώρα που η πριγκίπισσα ετοιμάζεται να κάνει το επίσημο ντεμπούτο της σήμερα στην Ολλανδία, στη διάρκεια μιας επίσημης επίσκεψης.
Σύμφωνα με το δημόσιο ραδιοτηλεοπτικό δίκτυο NOS, το οποίο αναμεταδίδει το ΑΠΕ ΜΠΕ, το οποίο επικαλείται ανακτορικές πηγές, η 20χρονη γυναίκα έζησε και σπούδασε για πάνω από ένα χρόνο στη Μαδρίτη.
Τον Οκτώβριο 2022, μερικές μόνο εβδομάδες αφού είχε αρχίσει να σπουδάζει πολιτική, ψυχολογία, δίκαιο και οικονομία στο πανεπιστήμιο του Άμστερνταμ, η Αμαλία υποχρεώθηκε, εξαιτίας φόβων για την ασφάλειά της, να εγκαταλείψει τα σχέδιά της να ζήσει σε φοιτητική εστία.
Η διάδοχος του θρόνου είχε φωτογραφηθεί κατενθουσιασμένη όταν άρχιζε τις σπουδές της. Είχε δηλώσει πως ήθελε να ζήσει σε ένα φοιτητικό κατάλυμα.
