Στο 10 ο επεισόδιο της 27ης σεζόν, ο Homer χάνει την δουλειά του στο πυρηνικό εργοστάσιο και αποφασίζει να κάνει την δουλειά που έκανε σε ηλικία 14 χρονών – λαντζέρης σε ένα ελληνικό εστιατόριο..
Ο Έλληνας ιδιοκτήτης φωνάζει τον Σταύρο, έναν εργαζόμενο του, να βάλει τον δίσκο με το τραγούδι του Ζορμπά… Όταν ο Homer και οι συνάδελφοί του στην κουζίνα το ακούνε πιάνουν ρυθμό, αρχίζουν να το γλεντάνε χορεύοντας συρτάκι, σπάζοντας πιάτα και φωνάζοντας… «όπα»!
