Πέπλο μυστηρίου καλύπτει τις συνθήκες θανάτου μία 23χρονης νεόνυμφη, η οποία βρέθηκε στο κενό την πρώτη νύχτα του γάμου της, στη Ρωσία.
Η Ksenia Vodyanitskaya είχε επιστρέψει με τον 24χρονο σύζυγό της 24 Kirill από τη γαμήλια δεξίωση στο διαμέρισμά τους στον 15ο όροφο πολυκατοικίας στην Αγία Πετρούπολη, όταν κάτω από αδιευκρίνιστες συνθήκες η κοπέλα έπεσε στον δρόμο, γυμνή, βρίσκοντας τραγικό θάνατο.
Ο σύζυγός της ήταν εκείνος που ειδοποίησε τις υπηρεσίες έκτακτης ανάγης, ενώ ανακρίθηκε από την αστυνομία για το περιστατικό, αρνούμενος οποιοδήποτε εμπλοκή στην πτώση της.
Ο σύζυγος δεν τέθηκε υπό κράτηση και η αρχική εκτίμηση της αστυνομίας κατέληξε στο συμπέρασμα ότι ο θάνατός της ήταν ατύχημα – αν και η έρευνα παραμένει σε εξέλιξη.
Η γυναίκα, η οποία ενδιαφερόταν για τη φωτογραφία, είχε πρόσφατα αποφοιτήσει από το Κρατικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κτηνιατρικής της Αγίας Πετρούπολης.
Φίλοι του ζευγαριού το περιέγραψαν ως «ευτυχισμένο» κατά τη διάρκεια του γάμου τους,χωρίς προβλήματα.
