Μια τεράστια πύρινη σφαίρα, που πιστεύεται ότι είναι ένας μετεωρίτης, έπεσε στην Ταϊλάνδη.
Έντρομος περαστικός, μάλιστα, επιβεβαιώνει το γεγονός περιγράφοντας πως είδε μία πράσινη και πορτοκαλί λάμψη στον ουρανό η οποία κατευθύνθηκε προς τη Γη.
Το γεγονός συνέβη στις 8:45 τοπική ώρα στην Μπανγκόκ, αν και δεν ακούστηκε κάποιο κρότος κατά την πρόσκρουσή του στη γη.
Οι κάτοικοι στο Sisawat στην επαρχία Καντσαναμπούρι που απέχει 200 χλμ από την πρωτεύουσα, λένε ωστόσο πως άκουσαν έναν εκκωφαντικό ήχο ενώ το μέγεθος του ήταν αρκετά μεγάλο, σύμφωνα με τα τοπικά Μέσα.
Κάποιο μάλιστα αναφέρουν πως άκουσαν δύο εκρήξεις.
Ωστόσο οι υποψίες αρχικά στράφηκαν αλλού, δηλαδή μήπως συνέβη κάποια έκρηξη σε αεροπλάνο. Όμως εκείνη την ώρα δεν πετούσαν αεροπλάνα στον εναέριο χώρο.
