Έξι μέλη των μεξικανικών ένοπλων δυνάμεων σκοτώθηκαν όταν αεροσκάφος της Πολεμικής Αεροπορίας της χώρας ενεπλάκη σε δυστύχημα στην πολιτεία Βερακρούς (νοτιοανατολικά), ανακοίνωσε το υπουργείο Άμυνας στο Μεξικό.
Το δυστύχημα σημειώθηκε περί τις 09:45, καθώς το αεροσκάφος Learjet 45 απογειωνόταν από αεροδρόμιο στην πόλη Εμιλιάνο Σαπάτα, διευκρίνισε το υπουργείο σε δελτίο Τύπου που δημοσιοποίησε.
Το υπουργείο δεν γνωστοποίησε τα ονόματα ή τους βαθμούς των θυμάτων.

Δεν είναι σαφές πόσοι άνθρωποι επέβαιναν στο Λίαρτζετ. Τα αεροσκάφη του τύπου έχουν δύο χειριστές και μπορούν να μεταφέρουν ως και εννέα επιβάτες, ανάλογα με τη διαμόρφωση.
