Ένα ζευγάρι στη Σκωτία που είναι γνωστό ως η πρώτη οικογένεια τρανσέξουαλ της Βρετανίας έχει προκαλέσει διαμάχες μετά την ανακοίνωση ότι θα επιτρέψουν στον γιο τους ηλικίας 5 ετών να ξεκινήσει τη μετάβαση φύλου.
Ο 27χρονος Γκρέγκ Ρότζερς, που γεννήθηκε γυναίκα, και ο/η σύζυγός του Τζόντι, ηλικίας 21 ετών, λένε ότι ο γιος τους Jayden έχει αρχίσει τη μετάβασή του σε κορίτσι σύμφωνα με ρεπορτάζ της εφημερίδας The Daily Record της Σκωτίας.
Το ζευγάρι λέει ότι αφού έκαναν την ανακοίνωση, υποβλήθηκαν σε χείμαρρο επιθέσεων.
«Είχαμε ανθρώπους να λένε ότι χρησιμοποιούμε την Jayden για προσοχή και ότι θέλει απλώς να είναι κορίτσι επειδή άλλαξα φύλο εγώ», είπε ο Greg στο ταμπλόιντ.
«Είναι γελοίο. Ο Jayden δεν ξέρει τίποτα για το παρελθόν μου. Απλώς με γνωρίζει ως μπαμπά «, πρόσθεσε.
Ο Τζόντι είπε στην εφημερίδα ότι ο γιός του λέει ότι «μισεί το να είναι αγόρι και ότι είναι στην πραγματικότητα ένα κορίτσι». «Ήθελε να φορέσει τα ρούχα των κοριτσιών, έτσι αποφασίσαμε να πάμε με τη λογική αυτή και του τα αγόρασα», πρόσθεσε.
