Ο Στίβεν Σπίλμπεργκ επιστρέφει στη θεματολογία των εξωγήινων ύστερα από σχεδόν 48 χρόνια από την κυκλοφορία του “Στενές Επαφές Τρίτου Τύπου” (1977) και 43 χρόνια από το “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” (1982).
Αν και το “E.T.” δεν είχε το ίδιο σκοτεινό και μυστηριώδες πλαίσιο με τις “Στενές Επαφές,” και οι δύο ταινίες εξερευνούσαν την ιδέα της επαφής με εξωγήινη ζωή, με το “E.T.” να επικεντρώνεται περισσότερο στη φιλία και την αθωότητα, ενώ το “Στενές Επαφές” έδινε έμφαση στο μυστήριο και την αναζήτηση της αλήθειας.
Η νέα του ταινία, “Disclosure Day,” (στον αγγλικό της τίτλο) φαίνεται να συνδυάζει στοιχεία και από τις δύο προσεγγίσεις, με μια πιο σύγχρονη και ίσως πιο σκοτεινή ματιά στην ιδέα της αποκάλυψης ότι δεν είμαστε μόνοι στο σύμπαν.
Το trailer δείχνει σκηνές με αγρογλυφικά και επιχειρήσεις μυστικών υπηρεσιών, και την Emily Blunt ως παρουσιάστρια καιρού που ξαφνικά χάνει την ικανότητά της να μιλήσει, υπονοώντας μια παγκόσμια αλλαγή που θα τρομάξει ή θα συγκλονίσει την ανθρωπότητα.
