Ωστόσο, το ευφάνταστο τέχνασμα του αποκαλύφθηκε από τους πελάτες, οι
οποίοι δημοσίευσαν τις αποδεικτικές φωτογραφίες στα μέσα κοινωνικής
δικτύωσης, με αποτέλεσμα η ιστορία να δημοσιευθεί και από τοπική
εφημερίδα.
Σύμφωνα με το δημοσίευμα της «Al Bayan», το υπουργείο Εμπορίου έκλεισε το εστιατόριο, μετά τη δημοσιοποίηση της είδησης.
Οι χρήστες στα social media σχολίασαν το περιστατικό με αρκετά καυστικά λόγια. Ένας από τους χρήστες έγραψε: «Νόμιζα ότι τα είχα δει όλα, αλλά το Twitter πάντα το ανατρέπει αυτό». Κάποιος άλλος έγραψε: «Αυτό είναι σιχαμένο και κακή επιχειρηματικότητα αλλά δεν μπορώ να μην γελάσω την ίδια στιγμή. Πραγματικά πίστεψαν ότι δεν θα το παρατηρήσει κανείς;».
