Οι Ισραηλινές Αμυντικές Δυνάμεις (IDF) φέρονται να προετοιμάζονται για την πιθανότητα επίθεσης με αφορμή τον ένα χρόνο που πέρασε από τη δολοφονία του Ιρανού ανώτατου στρατηγού, Κασέμ Σολεϊμανί.
Για το ενδεχόμενο επίθεσης από το Ιράν φέρονται να προετοιμάζονται οι Ισραηλινές Αμυντικές Δυνάμεις (IDF), με το βλέμμα στην επέτειο της δολοφονίας του Ιρανού ανώτατου στρατηγού, Κασέμ Σολεϊμανί, όπως μετέδωσε η «The Jerusalem Post», επικαλούμενη ανώτατη στρατιωτική πηγή.
Σύμφωνα με τις συγκεκριμένες πληροφορίες, οι Ισραηλινές Αμυντικές Δυνάμεις δεν αποκλείουν την πιθανότητα μιας επίθεσης από το Ιράκ ή την Υεμένη.
Μάλιστα, ο ισραηλινός στρατός φέρεται να έχει διεξάγει συνομιλίες για την προετοιμασία απέναντι στα πιθανά σενάρια επιθέσεων.
Η δολοφονία του Σολεϊμανί, στις 3 Ιανουαρίου του 2020, έγινε με εντολή του Ντόναλντ Τραμπ.
Η επίθεση προκάλεσε κλιμάκωση της έντασης μεταξύ του Ιράν και των ΗΠΑ, και έτσι η Τεχεράνη έπληξε αμερικανικές στρατιωτικές βάσεις με πυραύλους ως αντίποινα.
