Το προξενείο της Γερμανίας στην Κωνσταντινούπολη θα παραμείνει σήμερα κλειστό εξαιτίας αυξημένης απειλής για επίθεση στη μεγαλύτερη πόλη της Τουρκίας, ανακοίνωσε το γερμανικό υπουργείο Εξωτερικών.
Η Γερμανία προειδοποίησε τους πολίτες της στην Κωνσταντινούπολη ότι ο κίνδυνος επίθεσης είναι ιδιαίτερα υψηλός στην κεντρική περιφέρεια Μπεϊογλού και γύρω από την πλατεία Ταξίμ.
Το υπουργείο ανέφερε πως η κίνηση να κλείσει το προξενείο έγινε έπειτα από «εκτίμηση των αρχών ασφαλείας» και κάλεσε τους Γερμανούς πολίτες να είναι ιδιαίτερα προσεκτικοί και να αποφεύουν τα σημεία όπου υπάρχει συγκεντρωμένο πλήθος.
Η Γερμανία, η Σουηδία, η Νορβηγία και η Δανία, καθώς και οι ΗΠΑ, είχαν ήδη προειδοποιήσει την περασμένη εβδομάδα τους πολίτες τους για αυξημένο κίνδυνο επίθεσης στην Τουρκία. Οι ΗΠΑ επικαιροποίησαν τη Δευτέρα την προειδοποίησή τους αναφέροντας συγκεκριμένα την Κωνσταντινούπολη.
Η Τουρκία, από την πλευρά της, έχει προειδοποιήσει τους πολίτες της για επιθέσεις στην Ευρώπη και τις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες.
