Ένας άνδρας επιτέθηκε με μαχαίρι και τραυμάτισε ελαφρά δύο ανθρώπους στον κεντρικό σιδηροδρομικό σταθμό της Στουτγάρδης. Ο δράστης επιχείρησε να διαφύγει, αλλά συνελήφθη μία ώρα αργότερα από αστυνομικούς που βρίσκονταν στην περιοχή.
Σύμφωνα με την εφημερίδα BILD, ο συλληφθείς είναι 26χρονος Γερμανός και οι αρχές δεν εκτιμούν ότι η επίθεση είχε τρομοκρατικό κίνητρο. «Οι βίαιες ενέργειες επηρεάζουν όλους μας και τις επόμενες ημέρες θα συντονιστούμε με την ομοσπονδιακή αστυνομία προκειμένου να αποφασιστεί εάν απαιτείται περαιτέρω εντατικοποίηση της αστυνομικής παρουσίας στους σταθμούς», δήλωσε εκπρόσωπος των Γερμανικών Σιδηροδρόμων στην εφημερίδα.
Αυτές τις μέρες, λόγω της διεξαγωγής του Ευρωπαϊκού Πρωταθλήματος Ποδοσφαίρου, η παρουσία αστυνομικών – με βαρύ μάλιστα οπλισμό – είναι αυξημένη, κυρίως σε σημεία όπου συγκεντρώνονται πολλά άτομα και σε αεροδρόμια και σιδηροδρομικούς σταθμούς, ενώ σε αυτές τις περιοχές απαγορεύεται να φέρει κανείς οτιδήποτε μπορεί να θεωρηθεί «όπλο», ακόμη και ψαλίδι.
