Μάλιστα, εισηγείται να εμβολιαστεί μαζικά ολόκληρος ο πληθυσμός στη χώρα – για την ακρίβεια όσοι είναι άνω των 6 μηνών.
Στην Ευρώπη, προς ώρας, η σύσταση είναι να πέσει το βάρος στην προστασία των ευπαθών ομάδων του πληθυσμού.
Τα εμβόλια που εγκρίθηκαν στις ΗΠΑ είναι εκείνα των εταιρειών Pfizer/BioNTech και Moderna.
Όπως διατείνονται τα ομοσπονδιακά Κέντρα Ελέγχου & Προλήψεως των Ασθενειών (CDC) τα εμβόλια παραμένουν η καλύτερη προστασία έναντι της νοσηλείας και του θανάτου από COVID-19.
Τα CDC ισχυρίζονται ότι ο κορονοϊός αλλάζει ασταμάτητα και η προστασία από κάθε εμβόλιο που κάνουμε φθίνει με τον καιρό.
