Μια 72χρονη γυναίκα συνελήφθη αφού φέρεται να απενεργοποίησε τον αναπνευστήρα ενός συγκατοίκου της σε νοσοκομείο – δύο φορές – επειδή ενοχλούνταν από τον ήχο που έκανε, ανακοίνωσαν οι αρχές στη Γερμανία την Πέμπτη.
Η γυναίκα φυλακίστηκε ως ύποπτη για απόπειρα ανθρωποκτονίας μετά το περιστατικό σε νοσοκομείο της νοτιοδυτικής πόλης Μανχάιμ το βράδυ της Τρίτης.
Η αστυνομία και οι εισαγγελείς ανέφεραν σε ανακοίνωσή τους ότι η ύποπτη φέρεται να απενεργοποίησε τον αναπνευστήρα μιας 79χρονης γυναίκας και, παρά το γεγονός ότι στη συνέχεια το προσωπικό της είπε ότι ήταν ζωτικής σημασίας για την ασθενή, τον απενεργοποίησε ξανά αργότερα το βράδυ.
Η ηλικιωμένη ασθενής με τη βοήθεια των γιατρών επανήλθε στη ζωή 2 φορές και, ενώ η ζωή της δεν κινδυνεύει, εξακολουθεί να χρειάζεται εντατική φροντίδα, ανέφεραν οι αρχές. Η ύποπτη οδηγήθηκε ενώπιον δικαστή την Τετάρτη και οδηγήθηκε στη φυλακή.
