Ο Αμερικανός πρόεδρος Ντόναλντ Τραμπ προγραμματίζει να αναχωρήσει σήμερα από τη διάσκεψη της ομάδας των πιο αναπτυγμένων οικονομικά χωρών G7, πριν από τη συζήτηση για την κλιματική αλλαγή και την προστασία των ωκεανών.
Μία τέτοια κίνηση του προέδρου των ΗΠΑ, υπογραμμίζει τις “ρωγμές” που υπάρχουν στο πλαίσιο της G7, που έγιναν ακόμη πιο βαθιές μετά την επιβολή των δασμών για τις εισαγωγές προϊόντων στην αμερικανική αγορά.
Ο Καναδάς, οι ΗΠΑ, η Γαλλία, η Γερμανία, η Ιταλία και η Ιαπωνία, είναι απίθανο να προχωρήσουν στην έκδοση κοινού ανακοινωθέντος, με δεδομένες τις ουσιαστικές διαφοροποιήσεις που υπάρχουν μεταξύ των ΗΠΑ και των υπολοίπων κρατών-μελών της ομάδας G7 για το εμπόριο, αλλά και την προστασία του περιβάλλοντος, καθιστώντας σχεδόν αδύνατη την εξεύρεση συμβιβασμών.
