Μια κόκκινη «σημαία εκδίκησης» υψώθηκε πάνω από το Τζαμί Τζαμκάραν στην πόλη Κομ του Ιράν μετά τη δολοφονία του αρχηγού του πολιτικού γραφείου της Χαμάς, Ισμαήλ Χανίγιε.
Η ίδια σημαία της εκδίκησης έχει υψωθεί μετά τις εκρήξεις στο νεκροταφείο στην Κέρμα στις αρχές του 2024, όταν σκοτώθηκαν δεκάδες άνθρωποι.
Δύο μήνες μετά ακολούθησε η επιχείρηση-«αστραπή» της Τεχεράνης με τον βομβαρδισμό του Ισραήλ από πυραύλους και εκατοντάδες drones.
Οι κόκκινες σημαίες στη σιιτική παράδοση συμβολίζουν το άδικα χυμένο αίμα και ισοδυναμούν με ένα κάλεσμα για εκδίκηση για τον δολοφονηθέντα.
Νωρίτερα σήμερα προηγήθηκαν οι εμπρηστικές δηλώσεις του ανώτατου ηγέτη του Ιράν, Αλί Χαμενεΐ, περί εκδίκησης:
