ΟΙταλός συγγραφέας, καθηγητής, πολιτικός επιστήμονας και θεωρητικός Αντόνιο Νέγκρι πέθανε σε ηλικία 90 ετών. Την είδηση του θανάτου του γνωστοποίησε με ανάρτησή της στο Instagram η κόρη του, Άννα Νέγκρι.
Ο Αντόνιο Νέγκρι γεννήθηκε στην Πάντοβα το 1933. Έγινε καθηγητής πολιτικής φιλοσοφίας στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Πάντοβα. Από τα τέλη της δεκαετίας του 1960 υπήρξε από τα ηγετικά στελέχη της Εργατικής Εξουσίας και της Εργατικής Αυτονομίας και από τους πιο διάσημους θεωρητικούς του κινήματος της Αυτονομίας. Το 1979 συνελήφθη και κατηγορήθηκε, χωρίς επαρκή στοιχεία, για τρομοκρατική δράση -ακόμη και ως εγκέφαλος των Ερυθρών Ταξιαρχιών- και καταδικάστηκε τελικά σε 30 χρόνια φυλάκιση για συμμετοχή σε δύο φόνους.
Το 1983 διέφυγε στη Γαλλία, όπου, προστατευμένος από τον κίνδυνο της απέλασης χάρη στο “δόγμα Μιτεράν”, δίδαξε στο Πανεπιστήμιο VIII του Παρισιού και στο College International de Philosophie, κοντά στον Ντεριντά, τον Φουκώ και τον Ντελέζ. Το 1997, μετά από συμφωνία που μείωσε την καταδίκη του στα 13 χρόνια, επέστρεψε στην Ιταλία για να εκτίσει το υπόλοιπο της ποινής του.
Πολλά από τα σημαντικότερα έργα του γράφτηκαν στη φυλακή. Μετά την αποφυλάκισή του το 2003, ζει στη Βενετία και στο Παρίσι μαζί με τη γαλλίδα φιλόσοφο Judith Revel.
