Σύμφωνα με την ανάρτηση των γονέων της 21χρονης, η Μέγκα Τακούρ, η οποία είχε περισσότερους από ένα εκατομμύριο followers στα social media, «πέθανε ξαφνικά και απρόσμενα» στις 24 Νοεμβρίου.
«Με βαριά καρδιά ανακοινώνουμε ότι το φως της ζωής μας, η ευγενική και πανέμορφη κόρη μας, Μέγκα Τακούρ, πέθανε ξαφνικά και απροσδόκητα τα ξημερώματα της 24ης Νοεμβρίου. Η Μέγκα ήταν μια ανεξάρτητη νεαρή κοπέλα. Θα μας λείψει» έγραψαν οι γονείς της 21χρονης εξηγώντας ότι ανακοίνωσαν τον θάνατό της επειδή «η Μάγια αγαπούσε τους φανς της και θα ήθελε να γνωρίζετε για τον θάνατό της».
Η Τακούρ είχε ξεκινήσει τις αναρτήσεις της στα social media τον Νοέμβριο του 2019 και ήταν γνωστή για τα μηνύματα θετικότητας και αυτοπεποίθησης που αναρτούσε.
H τελευταία της ανάρτηση στο TikTok ηταν στις 18 Νοεμβρίου με την ίδια να περπατάει στη Νέα Υόρκη και να βάζει λεζάντα «εσείς ελέγχετε τη μοίρα σας. Να το θυμάστε αυτό».
