Μετά από ισχαιμικό επεισόδιο που υπέστη, μεταφέρθηκε εσπευσμένα το απόγευμα της Τετάρτης 15 Δεκεμβρίου στο Κέντρο Υγείας Κρανιδίου στην Αργολίδα ο τέως βασιλιάς Κωνσταντίνος, σύμφωνα με την ιστοσελίδα argolikeseidhseis.gr
Ο τέως μονάρχης της Ελλάδας που διαμένει μόνιμα στην Ερμιονίδα διακομίσθηκε αργά το απόγευμα στο Κέντρο Υγείας Κρανιδίου όπου του παρασχέθηκαν οι απαραίτητες ιατρικές βοήθειες και σταθεροποιήθηκε η κατάσταση της υγείας του.
Αργά το βράδυ ξεκίνησε με ασθενοφόρο του Κέντρου Υγείας για την Αθήνα, ωστόσο έξω από την Επίδαυρο τον παρέλαβε το ασθενοφόρο του ιδιωτικού θεραπευτηρίου «Υγεία» και τον μετέφερε στην Αθήνα. Στο πλευρό του βρίσκονται ο γιος του Νικόλαος και η σύζυγός του Άννα Μαρία.
Ο τέως Βασιλιάς βρίσκεται πλέον σε προχωρημένη ηλικία και το τελευταίο διάστημα ήταν καθηλωμένος σε αναπηρικό καροτσάκι. Κατά το παρελθόν είχε υποστεί και πάλι εγκεφαλικό επεισόδιο και είχε νοσηλευτεί για τέσσερις ημέρες στο νοσοκομείο.

Όπως δήλωσε ο ίδιος τα εμβόλια είναι ασφαλή και θα σημάνουν το τέλος της πανδημίας.
