Η βρετανική αστυνομία ανακρίνει έναν 26χρονο άνδρα, τον βασικό ύποπτο για τις αλλεπάλληλες φάρσες για βόμβες που σημειώθηκαν την Παρασκευή στο Μάντσεστερ.
Σύμφωνα με τις αστυνομικές αρχές, τρία δέματα εντοπίστηκαν σήμερα, δύο στο Πικαντίλι Γκάρντενς και η τρίτη στη γειτονική πόλη Όλνταμ. Κλήθηκαν πυροτεχνουργοί για να τα εξετάσουν και αποδείχθηκε ότι δεν περιείχαν κάποιον επικίνδυνο εκρηκτικό μηχανισμό.
Ο ύποπτος είχε στην κατοχή του όπλα, αλλά δεν διευκρινίστηκε τι είδους.
Το 2017, ένας βομβιστής αυτοκτονίας σκότωσε 22 ανθρώπους στη συναυλία της Αριάνα Γκράντε στη Μάντσεστερ Αρένα.
