Από έκπληξη σε έκπληξη πέφτουν οι Τούρκοι από τις συνεχιζόμενες ανασκαφές στον ελληνορθόδοξο ναό αφιερωμένο στον Ιησού Χριστό, «Hazreti İsa», στην Σινώπης του Πόντου.
Τα καταπληκτικά ευρήματα είναι ένας χαρακτηριστικός σταυρός που προκάλεσε δέος στους ανασκαφείς και φυσικά τα οστά που είναι θαμμένα πέριξ και στα θεμέλια του ναού, κτισμένος τον όγδοο αιώνα, ανακαινίστηκε τον δέκατο τρίτο αιώνα και τα οποία ανέδιδαν την ιερότητα αυτών που θαφτήκαν στο ιερό αυτό μέρος . Τις ανασκαφές διενεργούν σύμφωνα με τον νομάρχη Yavuz Selim Köşger, 35 ειδικευμένοι εργάτες που συνεχίζουν με ιδιαίτερη προσοχή το έργο τους
Ο προϊστάμενος των ανασκαφών Τούρκος αρχαιολόγος καθηγητής Koroğlu, δήλωσε ότι θα συνεχιστούν οι εργασίες στον ιερό ναό όπου κάθε φορά παρουσιάζεται και μια καινούργια μεγάλη έκπληξη που επιβεβαιώνει και την ιερότητα του μεγαλοπρεπή αυτού ελληνορθόδοξου ναού της Σινώπης του Πόντου μιας ακόμα ελληνικής πατρίδας στην περιοχή αυτή.

Νὰ προσθέσουμε ἐδῶ ὅτι ἡ Σινώπη ἦτο ἡ πατρὶς τοῦ μεγάλου φιλοσόφου Διογένους τοῦ Κυνικοοῦ ἀπὸ τὴν ὁποία ἐξωρίσθη κατὰ τὴν νεότητά του ὡς παραχαράκτης.καὶ εἰς τὴν ὁποίαν οὐδέποτε ἐπέστρεψε.
Ὅταν κάποτε κάποιος γιὰ νὰ τὸν ἐξευτελίση ἀνεφέρθη στὀ γεγονὶος δημοσίως λέγων “ἐσὺ Διογένη τὶ μᾶς παριστάνεις τὸν ἠθικὸ ἐφ’ ὅσον οἱ δικοὶ σου σὲ κατεδίκασαν σὲ ἐξορία ὡς παραχαράκτη νομισμάτων” ἐκεῖνος ἀπήντησε: “καὶ ἐγὼ τοὺς κατεδίκασα νὰ μείνουν ἐκεῖ” !!!!!!!
