Ο Δημοκρατικός γερουσιαστής από τη Νότια Καρολίνα ανακοίνωσε το Σάββατο ότι πρόκειται να προσεγγίσει επισήμως το Κογκρέσο να ζητήσει στρατιωτική άδεια για χτύπημα στο Ιράν για να καταστρέψουν το πυρηνικό πρόγραμμα της χώρας.
Ο Γερουσιαστής Graham έχει προειδοποιήσει ότι εάν δεν βομβαρδίζουμε τη Συρία, αυτό θα οδηγήσει σε πόλεμο με το Ιράν εντός έξι μηνών. Ο Graham έχει μια μακρά φιλοπολεμική ιστορία, ειδικά όταν πρόκειται για το Ιράν.
