An 11-year-old pedestrian was involved in a collision with a car and was rushed to hospital by ambulance.
The schoolboy suffered injuries following the incident on Wheatcroft Road, Stechford, just before 8am on Monday, September 28.
He was assessed by paramedics at the scene and taken to Heartlands Hospital “as a precaution.”
It is understood that one car involved in the collision was also hit from behind by another vehicle after a BMW four series had rear end damage while a Ford had front end damage.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman told BirminghamLive: “We were called at 7.58am to Wheatcroft Road and sent a single ambulance to it.
“There has been a car been in collision with a young boy and then a second car has hit the first car.
“It appears he has minor injuries. He was assessed at the scene and taken to Heartlands as a precation.”
