Effusive-explosive eruption of the volcano continues at high levels.
The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that on 4 July satellite Himawari recorded an ash plume with large ash content that rose 27,230 ft (8,300 m) above the summit and drifted north. It is considered as the highest ash plume of the volcano since 2013.
Formation of lava flows and explosions in the near future will continue to be active as the activity at the volcano continues at high levels.
The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs were ejected as far as 2.5 km away from the crater.
